Future Plans

ADTRAN Inc.

During the fall semester of 2010, I was a well known sight at the Campus career fairs and the websites of interesting companies. I was blessed in that my work paid off and I recieved on-site interviews with several companies, and even obtained job offers from more than one of those companies. The offer that I decided to select came from ADTRAN Inc. in Hunstville, AL. Due to that, shortly after I graduate I will be moving to Hunstville in preparation for starting with ADTRAN on the 23rd of May. I will be working as a part of the team that reports to Mr. Neil Jensen. As far as I know at this point, I will be working to help build a device that can convert an analog phone signal to digital VOIP packets to be sent down a DSL line. These packets would be converted back to an analog signal on the phone provider's side to continue with their other equipment.

Wedding Bells

About a month after I start work at ADTRAN I will be getting married to my love, Ruthe (almost Myers) Wood. She and I met at an Honors function our freshman year at Tennessee Tech, and she will be the first person to tell you the true story that I do not remember meeting her at that function. She graduated from TTU with a Bachelors of Science in Professional Communication at the end of the fall semester 2010, and has been working as a substitute teacher since. We have been dating for a bit more than three years and will be married on June 25, 2011 at Cookeville Baptist Temple here in Cookeville, TN, after which she will be moving down to Hunstville with me.
